Who Is A Permanent resident: a permanent resident is someone who must have been given the status of a permanent resident by settling down in Canada, but is not a Canadian citizen. A permanent resident is mostly given to citizens of another country; a temporary resident is a person who came to work; the study is not Permanent resident of Canada.

What does PR require? The Canada PR process requires adjudicating you are worthy of permanent residence, meeting conditions, and filling the PR application. Thousands of PR card status are being distributed every year to people which has made the Canadian government double the number of applicants to over two hundred and eighty thousand (280,000) people annually . as a permanent resident you will be having a lot of chances and benefits from Canada, owning a PR card lets you to live, work & study in Canada on a permanent basis, the card is renewable and are issued mostly every five years..

As a permanent resident of Canada, these are the things you and dependent are eligible to

  • You are to obtain any social benefits that Canadian citizens received, such as healthcare coverage.
  • You are to stay, study & work in any part of Canada of your choice
  • You are to be protected under Canadian law and the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms.
  • The right to pertain to Canadian citizenship after a period of residence.

The requirement of a permanent PR.

  • First is to check if you are a Canadian citizen if so why wasting time to apply for it though there are certain tests done to know if a person qualified .or maybe you inherited it from your parents or grandparents without knowing.
  • Are you up to eighteen if so you can get it easily, but if you are not up to eighteen it will be very very hard to get it, but with the help of your parents or guardians you can have it?

Before applying for a permanent resident card (PR ) what are we to do? Normally a PR card is issued every 5(five) years, but at times can be issued for 1 year. The PR card is usually with an expiry dates but is useful if it has not yet expiry ,and PR card is usually given by the Canadian government officials or can be delivered to you in person if that is the case .if in case you find out your name is shorten do not panicked because we shorten names at times if it is too long and if there is a mistake on your PR card you can ask for it to be reissued .

You can not lose your status if your PR card expiry yes because you lose your status when you are under an official process…. So how can you lose your status?

  • When you finally become a Canadian citizen
  • When you freely give up your permanent resident status
  • When a discarding order is made against you.

A permanent resident card is required to behold valid by every Canadian citizenship or immigration if you wish to go out of Canada.
